The classic Utah Saints track "Something Good" was revamped for 2008 and stormed the charts in April- and is still up there. After an unofficial Van She Tech bootleg mix from 2007 got an official thumbs-up from the band and from DJs all over the world, Data Records put together a huge remix package of new versions of the Kate Bush-sampling Utah anthem. The track was released for download on March 3rd from all the usual places like iTunes, and two CD singles (a 2-track CD and a maxi-CD) released on March 17th. As well as the Van She Tech remix which has been polished up, mixes came from drum & bass' rising star High Contrast as well as from Bart B More, Prok & Fitch, Ian Carey and eSquire. There are also other remixes to be found on the Internet, which are either remixes rejected by Data, or bootlegs. The music video is a huge hit and appeared in all sorts of request charts. You can also watch it in full here: The track peaked at #8 in the UK singles chart (so far!) |

Utah Saints have finished their first official remix in four years: Dub Pistols "Peaches" (Utah Saints remix). You can buy it now online, in MP3 or WAV format on TrackItDown, or via iTunes. The Dub Pistols original is a cover of the song by the Stranglers. The Utahs' remix brings the rap to the fore and has an absolutely huge kick drum. It lulls you in with a crisp and fairly gentle intro and then a minute later... WOOMPH. It is also possible to find 7-track promo CDs of "Peaches", sometimes on eBay, on which the Utah Saints mix is track 1. Its first airplay was on the Eddy Temple-Morris Remix show on XFM on 3rd August. The Utahs remix has also been singled out for praise by Mixmag. Updated 14th November 2007
The Internet is a clever thing. As well as Utah Saints having a significant presence on MySpace (see below), thanks to the major video-sharing website YouTube you can now watch several Utah Saints promo videos online, including- and this is the big one- the video for the infamous unreleased single Rock! (though it is incorrectly labelled as being called 'Taxi Driver', when you watch the video you'll understand why). And thanks to YouTube letting you embed videos in your own website, HERE THEY ARE! (scroll down for more clips) "ROCK": "OHIO": "BELIEVE IN ME": "SOMETHING GOOD": "WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR ME": If you search YouTube for 'Utah Saints' you'll find a selection of other videos appear. Some are Manga-style home-edited videos created using "Utah Saints Take On The Theme From Mortal Kombat" as the soundtrack, but which aren't official promos. Some are to do with Mormons and nothing to do with the band at all. Here's some unusual others: Yoko's Dream, a bizarre short film with a strong Utah link- skip on to about the 2:45 mark and be very confused.
